BBHQ Statement on Privacy

This page provides details on how we deal with data you enter at BBHQ. In short, it boils down to this:

BBHQ will never provide the information you give us to any other individual, organization or Internet web site. Never.

Our objective at BBHQ is to provide fun, entertainment, and information and discussion about the baby boomer generation and issues affecting us. We are not here to invade anybody's privacy or to collect demographic information. We are not a big corporation, just a few boomers doin' what we like to do.

We believe that there has to be a better way to make a buck than collecting and selling names and e-mail addresses. We hate spam just as much as you do.

We consider messages sent to us to be private communication between the two of us.

When we ask for your name and e-mail address, it is only so that we can respond to you personally. We are not in the business of collecting and distributing names and addresses.

We do not send spam e-mail. We do respond to e-mail and other entries and notes that you send to us, but only as a result of action you initiate. If you sign up for our newsletter, we will send you our newsletter every Monday morning. But we do not use this mail list for any other purpose. Our mail list is entirely under our control; it is not available to anyone else.

We may post on our site portions of e-mail messages you send to us, unless, of course, you ask us not to. E-mail you send to us becomes our property. However, we will not post your complete name without your permission. And of course, we will not post your e-mail address.

When you send us an e-mail message, take one of our Baby Boomer Qualifying Exams, or complete one of our other forms requiring an e-mail address, we use your e-mail address to respond to you. Your e-mail address does not remain on our site. No one else has access to it.

Cookies: We store a web site cookie file on your computer. We do so to make it easier for you to enter data and navigate our site. The data in this cookie file is not available to any other Internet site. Advertisers on our site cannot store cookies on your computer; they do not have access to the BBHQ cookie file on your computer.

We do not acquire names and e-mail addresses from any other source. We do not send unsolicited e-mail to anyone.

Except as described below, we do not maintain your name and e-mail address on our site. Data that you provide to us is not accessible to anyone outside of BBHQ.

When you sign in to the BBHQ Registry, you may choose to include your e-mail address. If you do so, your name and e-mail address will appear on our registry for others to see. While we take steps to keep people from capturing our entire registry, we cannot control what happens to your name and e-mail address on our registry. However, when you sign in to the registry, you may choose to exclude your e-mail address from our registry. If you do so, no one coming to BBHQ will have access to your e-mail address.

You may include your name, telephone number, e-mail address or other information on our Peanut Gallery Bulletin Board, Reunion Bulletin Board, Ask the DJ, or other public boards at BBHQ. You do so at your discretion; and of course, that information will be available for others to see.

We have never received a complaint regarding personal information gathered on our site. We intend to keep it that way.
